Ready. Set. WRITE! Week 12

RSWgoldpolaroidThis is the last post for RSW, and I’m a little sad! I really enjoyed not only having some accountability and somewhere to check-in every week with my writing progress, but also reading every about the progress of everyone else!

This post is a goal wrap-up, so here were my overall goals for the summer:

  1. My CPs and I set a goal to finish our WIPs by June 30th, and I’ll stick to that. I’ll have to write 1k/day to get there–usually during naptime when all the kids are asleep! I’m at 67k now, and I want to get to about 90k for the first draft. CHECK!

2. Finish edits by end of July. CHECK!

3. Read a book a week. CHECK!

4. In addition to Ready. Set. Write! blogposts, blog at least once a week. Um…yeah…that didn’t get accomplished. But I really enjoyed writing once a week for RSW! 

I got a lot of writing accomplished over the past 12 weeks: finished all revisions on Arcana, wrote a first draft of my WIP, completed revisions on my WIP, wrote 3 chapters and a synopsis (plus revisions) of a Top Secret Project.

I hope Katy Upperman, Erin Funk, Jaime Morrow, and Alison Miller plan to have RSW again next year–it was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed meeting new writerly types ;). Thank you, ladies, for hosting such an awesome blog hop!

    OHMYGOSH! You had an AWESOME summer! I’ve really enjoyed checking in with everyone’s progress each week too. I’m going to miss it. BUT I plan to continue updating through What’s Up Wednesday. Hopefully that will keep me accountable and allow me to check in with everyone too.
