How I did on last week’s goals:
So I’m excited to say that I finished my WIP last week! There’s nothing like the rush that comes with finishing a first draft–that sense of amazement that comes when another book is completed. And it’s that heady relief of being finished…before remembering all the edits that will follow ;).
I also finished the book I was reading (The Sweetest Dark) and started another (Ignite Me), so I met that goal, too.
Proud of myself for both of these things since it was a busy week! June is a ridiculously busy month, but this last week was impossible: Father’s Day, my sweet little boy’s 3rd birthday, Mom’s birthday, and our anniversary. IN ONE WEEK. Tons of fun, just…overwhelming.
The only thing I didn’t do was blog (outside of this post), so I need to get to it!
Goals for this week:
-Finish reading and critiquing my CP’s awesome new WIP (no problem there because it’s a fun read!)
-Get started on edits on my WIP
-Finish reading Ignite Me
-Work on copy-edits for Arcana if I get them this week
A favorite line from my WIP (this is my first line):
The crow’s circling flight above our heads was the first ill omen we received that day, but it wouldn’t be the last.
The biggest challenge I faced this week:
Definitely the number of things I had to do this week!
Something I love about my WIP:
That the first draft is FINISHED.
