Tackle Your TBR Readathon 2014

It’s time for the midpoint check-in for the Read-a-thon! I haven’t finished nearly as many books as I wanted to by now, but I’ve still managed to finish three even while sick and working on revisions (though I ended up reading more than revising just because it’s hard to concentrate with a cold!). Here are the books I’ve read so far:

I enjoyed all three, though at times I found Throne of Glass dragged a bit (I didn’t understand the purpose of all those tests during the competition), Cruel Beauty was somewhat strange (but I still loved it because I love just about any Beauty and the Beast retelling), and The Giver really does change the way you look at the world.

My goal is to read at least four more books by the end of the read-a-thon–still a small goal, so hopefully one I can accomplish!

How has your progress been so far?

Tomorrow, I’ll be hosting a giveaway of a signed ARC of Arcana + bookmarks–I’d love for you to enter!

I loved The Giver! You’re really doing great with your goals. πŸ™‚

I did, too, although some of it was hard to read (anything bad happening to babies is torture for me!), but I loved it overall. And thanks! πŸ™‚

I absolutely loved all 3 of the books you’ve read for the RaT. Best of luck for your goal.

Three is so fabulous when you’re revising and writing too, Jessica! Cruel Beauty was rather unique, but I really liked it. I still need to read The Giver, especially with the movie coming out. I’m sorry you’re sick! No fun! I was sick last weekend and still feel like I’m recuperating a little. Have a great week!

I’m glad you enjoyed The Giver. It is such an eye opening read. Makes me thankful that we still have choices πŸ™‚

Thanks, Ana! I completely agree about The Giver–many tough scenes, but all of them made me appreciative of what I have.
